Anna, I am a South African indie author and I found this session extremely useful. Like authors in Australia and NZ, I feel rather neglected by the big global platforms, but am hoping that things are going to change. I actually gave up writing for several years due to sheer disillusionment, but this conference has helped motivate me to keep trying. I am a regular listener to the SPA girls podcast, which is full of interesting tips for authors in the southern hemisphere, and look forward to ramping up my writing so I can get publishing again.
