#SelfPubCon In Association With Digital Book World

#SelfPubCon in Association With Digital Book World

While #SelPubCon is a digital writing conference, there's a plethora of benefits to attending in person conferences too. If you haven't attended one recently, it might be time. There are lots of conference options around the globe, some huge, others intimate. But one thing is certain, the networking you get from a conference is invaluable. ALLi is thrilled to work with two major trade shows each year and to be able to give our members discounted ticket rates. ALLi Communications Manager Boni Wagner-Stafford has all the details about how we're working in association with Digital Book World 2019...

The Alliance of Independent Authors partners with two major conferences a year. In March 2019 it was London Book Fair. This fall it's Digital Book World. ALLi partners with large conferences like these to help ensure that indie authors are represented at major industry conferences, and to bring up-to-date industry news and information from those conferences to indies around the globe.

Digital Book World 2019 runs September 10 - 12 in Nashville, Tennessee. The Alliance of Independent Authors' #SelfPubCon is the weekend immediately following: September 14th - 15th. You can find more about #SelfPubCon right here.

About Digital Book World

Digital Book World is a conference that focuses on:

"Thought leadership, best practices, and the gathering of community across the wide world of publishing."

This year is no different. DBW's keynote speaker is Lisa Lucas, executive director of National Book Foundation. As well as Lisa's keynote session, DBW boast an impressive line up including sessions from:

Penguin Random House, The American Library Association, Kickstarter, The United States Copyright Office, Audible, James Patterson's Facebook Messenger book, The Association of University Presses, Microsoft, Simon & Schuster, and Amazon Alexa.

To find out more about their program, you can see the full listings here.

As ALLi's #SelfPubCon is in association with DBW, we're lucky to be able to give an exclusive discount to ALLi members. The discount is 75% (yes! 75%!)  on tickets. ALLi members can locate the discount code by logging into the ALLi member site at allianceindependentauthors.org. Click the "Services" tab, select "Discounts and Deals," and when the suite of deals opens up, choose the "Other Specific Services" tab, and scroll to the bottom where you'll see the offer for the DBW 2019 ALLi member discount. We only have a limited number of these discounted tickets, so it really is first come, first served. (Not a member yet? It's not too late! Click here to join.)

I'll be joining ALLi Founder and Director Orna Ross at DBW. Orna will be delivering a workshop on book marketing for indie authors as well as running a fireside chat, which will become part of #SelfPubCon lineup the following weekend. We'll reveal more details about our participation soon, and we most definitely look forward to seeing you there!
